Storms - especially hurricanes - can be stressful, particularly when you’re hundreds of miles away
and can’t get home. 

 

We’ll customize a storm plan with you before you leave, and begin preparations when a major storm has been forecast.

 

Pre-Storm Preparation includes moving patio furniture inside, closing shutters, and photo documentation of your home.

 

Once the storm has passed and it is safe to return, our Post-Storm Inspection includes a photo and video documented report, opening of shutters and meeting with contractors as needed.

    The official definition of Home Watch is “a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.” Designed to give you peace of mind while you're away, your home is being inspected by professionals looking for potential problems. We will customize a checklist based on your individual needs and concerns. If a situation does arise, you will be notified immediately so the problem can be dealt with in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Why do I need a Home Watch service?
    So many things can happen to your home in your absence: break-ins, water leaks, electrical problems, insects, mold, and storms, you get the picture. Preventive measures such as storm preparation and proactive maintenance should prevent many situations from arising. An experienced professional acting on your behalf who knows how to handle any situation quickly and efficiently can save you money and give you peace of mind.
  • What services does your company offer?

  • Is a Home Watch service a security service?
    Security companies install and monitor a home’s alarm system, and notify you when the alarm goes off. That’s not what we do. We are the people you call after your alarm goes off. We will get to your home quickly to assess any immediate needs and secure your home once again. Additionally, having a visible presence in your unoccupied home may act as a deterrent against vandalism and squatters.
  • Do you provide care for animals?
    A home watch professional is not a house sitter or a pet sitter, does not stay in your home, and we do not provide care for pets.
  • What’s the difference between a Home Watch Service and a Home Inspection?
    A home inspector provides a one time detailed report of the major structure, systems and components of a home and then provides recommendations. A home watch service is a weekly or bi-weekly visual inspection looking for obvious issues.
  • How does a Home Watch company qualify to become an Accredited Member of the National Home Watch Association?
    In order to become accredited with the National Home Watch Association, members have been background checked, proven to have industry-specific insurance and bonding and commit to continuing education. Accredited members also abide by the NHWA Code of Ethics and Best Practices. Membership in the NHWA can be verified by visiting the NHWA Accredited Member Locations Page.
